Spent most of the week trying to avoid the US election, not interested in it at all. The list of words I filter on Mastodon has grown enormously.
I spent this weekend baking, made some Cherry Bakewell hotcross buns. They're aren't the best, need more cherries and almond essence. Also made Chocolate Log for Christmas. Its about the only thing I enjoy at Christmas.
I got part of the outside of my house painted in an attempt to solve a damp problem. They should be back in a few days to paint the front of it.
The Cipher by Kathe Koja - odd book, a portal is discovered in an apartment block so Nicholas and his on again off again girlfriend start putting things in to it. Nicholas begins a slow descent into madness. It’s slow, grungy, nihilistic. Not for me but I can see why this is a cult classic.
Watching
Alien Romulus - Lacks the horror of the first and action of the second. Fine but forgettable. And referencing Alien\Aliens just makes me wonder why I’m not watching them instead.
The Bear - So I've continued watching this and its got better but the last episode (S02E06) I saw was pretty terrible. I don't want to watch people yelling at each other for an hour. Its draining.
StingHorror B movie nonsense and I love it. Take your brain out and enjoy.
